Dr. Kathy Battista

Battista is scholar, educator, and a curator of exhibitions in museums, galleries, and non-profits. Her research is primarily focused on cross generational feminist art. Most recently she has curated The Art of Fashion at Fountain House Gallery New York, Escape Attempts at Shulamit Nazarian Gallery, Los Angeles, and E.A.T.: Experiments in Art and Technology at the Museum der Moderne, Salzburg, Austria. She has authored numerous books, including: New York New Wave: The Legacy of Feminist Art in Emerging Practice (2019) and Renegotiating the Body: Feminist Art in 1970s London (2012). Battista is also co-editing (with NY faculty Bryan Faller) a forthcoming book on artist estates and foundations, Creative Legacies: Critical Issues in Artist Estates, for Lund Humphries.

Battista has over twenty years of leadership positions in the art world. In 1997 she founded the Interaction program at Artangel, a renowned public art agency in London. She also founded the MA Program in Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York, which she helmed for 11 years. She has also served as Editor in Chief of the Benezit Dictionary of Art for Oxford University Press.

Sarah Crown

Sarah Crown is an independent Art Historian and Curator based in New York. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts at the Accademy of Fine Art Bologna (Italy), a MA (with honors) in Art History and Philosophy at Alma Mater Bologna (Italy), and a Doctorate Degree (with honors) in Art History at the University of Bologna (Italy) and Paris 8, Paris (France), with both theses about Chinese Contemporary Art. She obtained a professional degree in Art & Business at NYU, New York, in 2014.

She is founder of SARAHCROWN (2012), an art management agency under which she established also a program called Art In Lobbies in New York City in 2017, featuring emerging and established artists in publicly accessible lobbies and corporate environments. Previously, she co-founded and ran ROOMSERVICE (2015 and 2016), a space for artistic and cultural experimentation and critical discourse around the curatorial practice. Sarah Corona co-curated extensive exhibitions in the Bronx and Queens with NLE - No Longer Empty, New York (2012-2015) and developed the initial syllabus of the NLE Curatorial Lab (2013) under the supervision of NLE founder Manon Slome, PhD.

Sarah Corona is member of IKT International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art, Member of  the European Journalist Legitimation,  Member of NurtureArt – Register of curators, Guest Curator at  roBOt - Festival for Digital Arts and Electronic Music. She writes and publishes about art and culture in English, Italian, German and French in international art magazines and on online platforms.

Naomi Lev

Naomi Lev is a writer and curator based in New York. Lev writes about politically infused contemporary art, and currently focuses on female artists. She was a contributing editor at Creative Time Reports (2015-2016), and has contributed to international magazines such as,, TOHU Magazine, and BOMB Magazine, among other publications. 

As a curator she specializes in organizing collaborative art events that connect artists, curators, and scholars from around the globe. She has previously hosted a series of talks at Independent Curators International (2013-2014); curated a conversation and performative-monologue with Jonathan Meese at the Tel Aviv Museum (2013); and artistically directed a series of talks and panels with Vito Acconci at Bezalel Academy and Beit Berl College (2011). Recent curated shows include: "Headlines" (SPRING/BREAK Art Show, 2018), “With Passion” (NY), “in, side – throughout” (NY), and “Preliminary Study: RSI-T” (NY and MI). 

Lev is dedicated to supporting artists in their process, and promotes rights for creators and women in the field. She is the founder and curator of “The Girls' Group” as well as “” – offline and online platforms that connect artists and art-professionals. 

Lev holds a BFA in Fine Arts from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, and an MFA from the Art Criticism & Writing program at the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
